Many people find this an exciting procedure. But although breast augmentation with implants is quite normal nowadays, many people look oddly upon buttock implants. This is also linked to a fear of “bad” implants and the associated risks. There are now however very safe implants on the market that have been specially developed for the buttocks. Essential Aesthetics works together with a highly reliable manufacturer of high-quality implants. They have more than 30 years of experience in making implants for different parts of the body and have have now used all their knowledge and expertise to develop excellent, safe and beautiful buttock implants. The silicone implants consist of a core surrounded by 8 layers of silicone. The manufacturer issues a lifetime warranty on the implants because they are of such outstanding quality.
The technique for inserting buttock implants has also improved. Our surgeons are trained in techniques that ensure minimal scarring. The traces left after the surgery are barely visible. The chances of the implants shifting are also minimal.
What happens during buttock augmentation with implants?
The pre-selected implants are inserted under general anesthesia via two incisions on the left and right side of the buttock fold. The scars in these areas are barely visible after the surgery. The surgeon creates space in the muscle with a spatula and then inserts the implants using a special technique (the no-touch technique). This new technique has a short recovery period of 7 to 14 days. Our international surgeons have been trained by the developer of the no-touch technique. Professor Philippe Levans aspires to always work with the latest techniques and the best material. Although the implants used for buttock augmentation are safe and durable, Prof. Levan noticed that there was still room for improvement. He came into action and worked with Sebbin Laboratories on a new form of buttock implant: the ‘biconvex buttock prosthesis’.
In a buttock augmentation, the implant is placed between the buttock muscles, a part of the body that is commonly used. As a result, there is a small chance that the implant will rotate. With a buttock prosthesis, it is also important that the implant is flexible and regains its shape easily after placement. The more flexible the implant, the smaller the incision and the final scar. Extra attention was paid to this during the design process.
Sebbin’s Laboratories, with the help of Prof. Levan, is now producing a third shape in addition to the anatomical and round buttock implants: the biconvex buttock implant. This makes them the only manufacturer that can offer three 3 types of buttock implants. The biconvex buttock implant meets all standard safety and quality requirements. In addition, buttock augmentation with the biconvex implant has the following advantages:
- The gel in the implants has excellent shape memory due to its high cohesiveness and viscoelasticity.
- The implants are inserted in a 5 cm incision and regain their original shape immediately after insertion due to the viscoelastic gel. It does not matter how much the implant is kneaded or deformed for insertion.
- The Kennel Funnel method for buttock augmentation is part of the technique our surgeons use for buttock augmentation. This method causes less trauma to the muscle tissue because the implant can be placed more easily. As a result, the patient has less post-operative pain and heals faster.
- The biconvex shape, just like the round shape, has a high projection, but is also symmetrical, so that any displacements in the buttocks are not visible.
Hybrid technology
The hybrid technique is a combination of buttock implants and lipofilling with body fat. This treatment offers “The best of two worlds“The implants help maintain a certain a certain volume. Lipofilling can be used to accentuate the round contours, especially on the side of the buttocks. Unevenness or differences between the buttocks can also be equalized with lipofilling. Adding extra fat also makes the buttocks feel softer. If you naturally have little fat on your buttocks, this is a good method to create extra volume.
Recovery and result of buttock augmentation
The result of the buttock augmentation can be seen immediately after the procedure. Swelling will have disappeared after about three months and the muscle and surrounding tissue will have adapted to the implant. Your buttocks may be more sensitive for a few weeks after the procedure. In the first few months, the two small scars will be red before discoloring to the tone of your skin. After a year, they will be barely visible.
